Sara Alaica is an author and editor currently living in Vancouver, BC. Her writing has appeared in Cleaver, Spry, Pinch, Paper Darts, and elsewhere, and her story “The Iron Gates” published in the Tishman Review was nominated for Best of the Web. Her first novel Kula, was written in Serbian and published in Belgrade.
Sara graduated from Carleton University and the University of Toronto with an MA in Literature. She has taught literature at Georgia Perimeter College, and is currently the non-fiction editor at MAYDAY. Sara has spoken about the craft of writing as a panelist at the AWP conference, and is an active member of the National Women’s Book Association. Sara was a writer in residence at both Taleamor Park and Ucross.
